Welcome!

Hey, fellow needle addicts. Haha, that's kind of a drug reference. If any of you are abusing needles in a quest for high-ness, stop it, thats not funny. Except for me. Anywho, welcome to my blog. I'm addicted to knitting, and I will be posting current projects, where to get the pattern, or give you the pattern myself if I designed it. We knitting bitches gotta stick together, so follow me, and check back often!

Love in stitches,

First Post.

Hey knitters! How lucky are you to be reading the first post? Well it's possible that you went back in the archives to read this, or more likely, I'm only on the second post or so, and reading this one is a slight wrist move down the page. Anywho, this is a milestone. I started this blog to add yet another voice to the thousands of knitters blogging out there. The online community of us is becoming larger and larger and this gives way to the modernization of granny's mittens that haven't changed since she was a little girl in the old country. I mean look at what you're reading. I am a 19 year old knitter, and the only one in my household. I have not learned to knit out of need, I have learned (and continue to learn) knitting for pleasure and stress relief. Knitting broke me out of my depression. I only hope that the online knitters can stay connected. So with that, I encourage you to follow my blog, and comment often.

On the needles right now:  Yesterday I bought the book Knitting Little Luxuries. Available on amazon here: http://www.amazon.com/Knitting-Little-Luxuries-Beautiful-Accessories/dp/1596680547
I thought it was a book full of my kind of hip girly projects I could make. Most of them are a little above my skill level, but thats how you learn. Many of the projects also involve embroidery, so if you don't like that, don't spend the money, as you won't get the most out of this book. My first project is the Victoria Fingerless Mittens.  They have some lace, which I have so far conquered, and this will be my first run at a thumb gusset. If anyone's got any tips on those please comment. I am a little more than an third of the way through the first glove, and pics will be up when I finish.

Something cool I found on the interweb: Tote Bag
This is a great tote bag I found on cafepress.com, I must have it someday. Oh my kingdom for some money.
